Tympanometry

This test checks how well your eardrum moves and if the middle of your ear is working effectively. It can detect fluid buildup, pressure changes or other problems of the ear.

Advanced ASSR Testing for Accurate Hearing Assessment

Advanced ASSR Testing for Accurate Hearing Assessment

Auditory Steady-State Response (ASSR) is an advanced diagnostic hearing test that accurately determines hearing thresholds and the degree of hearing loss. It is especially useful for infants, young children, and individuals who cannot respond to conventional hearing tests, helping our audiologists recommend the most effective hearing care solutions.

Normal Hearing (0-25 dB)

Stable responses are recorded at soft sound levels at all frequencies tested; thus, hearing is undisturbed.

Mild Hearing Loss (26-40 dB)

Responses are slightly lower and missing some softer sounds. People often find it difficult in a noisy environment or in listening carefully to faint speech sounds.

Moderate Hearing Loss (41-55 dB)

A.S.S.R shows lower responses for the conversational sound level, which may affect language acquisition, speech clarity, and socializing.

Moderate-Severe Hearing Loss (56-70 dB)

Responses are greatly reduced at lower intensities. Voices in normal conversation are missed without amplification such as hearing aids.

Severe Hearing Loss (71-90 dB)

Only under extreme intensities are responses recorded. Normal speech communication becomes extremely difficult without strong amplification devices.

Profound Hearing Loss (>90 dB)

A.S.S.R may not produce any responses even under the highest intensity; such cases are routed towards cochlear implants or specialized hearing solutions, enabling effective communication.
